Tile removal - quick and easy with tools from Karl Dahm!
If you are renovating your bathroom, you often have to remove the old tiles and replace them with new ones. In most cases, the old tile pattern no longer meets modern design requirements and tastes. It can also happen that individual tiles have broken over time.
Old tiles often do not provide a good load-bearing substrate. This is why gluing over old tiles with new tiles is not always the best solution. The better method is to remove the old tiles and then lay new ones.

Remove laid tiles without destroying them!
With this tile remover (Art. No. 40983/40982), you can remove laid tiles (non-destructive) and replace them once the substrate has been renovated. If there is a damaged area under the tiling or a core hole has to be drilled, the affected tile usually has to be destroyed and replaced. This was particularly a problem with rare or older tiles. With our tile remover, you can remove the tiles (without breaking them) and then replace them.
Remove individual tiles in just a few steps with the ProFix tile remover. The tile must first be exposed using a joint cutter (Art. 41809) and then the joint filled with water. The system chamber of the tile remover must then be adjusted to the tile to be removed and placed over it. Now heat to approx. 600°C using the hot air gun (already included with Art. 40983) and after approx. 8-10 minutes the tile will detach from the substrate. You can now easily remove the tile and replace it after the renovation.
The following tools are required to remove tiles:
The chisel: a tool of history
The oldest chisel tools found to date were manufactured and used more than 2,700 years before the Christian era. To this day, these tools are used for cutting and chiselling a wide variety of materials. For example, to remove a piece of concrete, the top of the chisel head is struck with a hammer. In addition to hand tools, we also need many mechanical chiselling tools today, such as rotary hammers, chisel hammers or chisel hammers.

Areas of application for chisels
Pointed chisels are a classic piece of basic equipment
Together with a hammer, the pointed chisel forms a chiselling tool that is suitable for demolition and chiselling work. The tip of the chisel allows you to work with pinpoint accuracy. The power transmission of the impact and chiselling tool ensures optimum work results with both porous and very hard materials.
The tile chisel: Powerful and high quality
The chisel for removing tiles.
The tile chisel is the first choice when renovating, refurbishing or repairing tiled surfaces. It must be very flat to ensure a small angle of attack. This makes it easy to get under the tiles to remove them from the wall or floor. However, its impact head must still be very resistant. Remove tiles with the tile chisel from Karl Dahm!
Quality products are particularly advantageous when working with the hardest materials. The chisel is also characterised by its high reliability, high degree of hardness and special sharpness. The flat chisel is available in different shapes. This allows it to be used according to your individual requirements. You can use the chisel for indoor and outdoor work and use it to crush materials or remove old floor coverings or tiles.
