Karl Dahm Dust Butler dust extractor and drilling jig with spirit level Art. 12075

The Dust Butler Universal 12075 enables low-dust drilling and also serves as a drilling jig up to Ø 82 mm. The 3-piece drilling jig is ideal for multiple drill holes, e.g. for sockets. With additional spirit level.

The product is perfect for dust-free work! You can drill without leaving any dirt behind.
The Dust Butler is suitable for any commercially available hoover.

Dust is a common problem on construction sites, and how construction sites are left behind is a criterion for many customers - for example, in terms of recommendation.

Application of the Dust Butler tapping jig:

  1. Connect the hoover hose to the rubber adapter of the Dust Butler.
  2. Position the Dust Butler at the desired location (on the wall or on an unlaid tile).
  3. Press the Dust Butler lightly onto the drilling material and switch on the hoover. The dust extractor will tighten automatically due to the vacuum.
  4. Drill the required holes using the angle grinder or a drill.
  5. When drilling on the wall in particular, ensure that the Dust Butler is held in place after switching off the hoover to prevent uncontrolled detachment and possible damage.

Our Dust Butler is also available in other sizes:

Is the Dust Butler compatible with all hoovers?

Yes, the Dust Butler fits all standard hoovers with a round connection.

Dust extraction works reliably with conventional dry vacuum cleaners, which are commonly used on construction sites. It is important that the hose has a round connection and provides sufficient suction power to generate the vacuum.

Can several holes be drilled in succession with the suction bonnet?

Yes, up to three holes next to each other - without repositioning.

The drilling template is designed so that three dowel holes can be drilled at a standardised distance without having to reposition the extraction bonnet. This saves time and ensures standardised fastenings, e.g. for sanitary installations or wall brackets.

Does the suction bonnet also work on rough surfaces?

Only to a limited extent - smooth surfaces are ideal.

For optimum hold, the surface should be as smooth, clean and dust-free as possible - for example on tiles, glass or coated plaster. On very rough or textured surfaces, the seal cannot create a constant vacuum, which can impair its function.

Does the extraction bonnet need to be screwed down or held in place?

No, it adheres independently through negative pressure.

As soon as the connected hoover is switched on, the suction bonnet sucks itself onto the surface. This leaves both hands free for drilling, which is particularly advantageous when working overhead or in hard-to-reach places.

How is the extraction bonnet cleaned or maintained?

Simply rinse with water and leave to dry.

After use, the extraction bonnet can be cleaned of drilling dust and dirt with clean water. Make sure to clean the sealing surface regularly to ensure an even seal and a long service life.

For which professional groups is the product particularly suitable?

Ideal for tilers, tradesmen and plumbers.

The extraction bonnet is specially designed for professional applications in the interior design and installation sector. It offers a practical solution for clean drilling during daily work on construction sites, in bathrooms, kitchens or when laying tiles.

Can you also work on the ceiling with the extraction bonnet?

Yes, overhead drilling is also possible.

The self-adhesive function using negative pressure allows it to be used on walls, floors and even ceilings. Provided the surface is smooth enough, the suction cup remains firmly in place - so drilling can be carried out safely and without external help.
