The KARL DAHM joint colorant - makes old joints shine again

Dirty old joints make a room look old and unkempt. However, the cost and effort of re-grouting is often disproportionate to the result. This is where KARL DAHM joint colorant comes into play. The special coloring system was developed to renovate discolored or soiled joints - quickly and easily. Thanks to its unique composition, the grout colorant only bonds with the grout, not with the tiles, which guarantees a clean result. In addition, the grout stain protects against oil stains, water, acid-based stains and discoloration. With good care, the color result lasts for years (indoors) and makes cleaning easier.

DryTiling: The dry laying system for large format tiles.

What was considered modern yesterday may be outdated tomorrow. In the past, rectangular tiles in pale green, pale pink or beige-brown were the trend. Nowadays, many people prefer large-format, single-colored tiles or slabs. Fashion trends are constantly changing, and new systems have to be developed in line with them. Laying tiles used to involve considerable effort, but the introduction of DryTiling is changing that. With this processing aid, tiles can not only be laid faster, but also dry and without adhesive.
DryTiling enables the dust-free and dry laying of tiles. The tiles are laid on the level substrate (the only requirement), a sponge rubber cord is inserted and then grouted. The open joints can be filled with grout as usual.

DryTiling enables the dust-free and dry laying of tiles. The tiles are laid on the level substrate (the only requirement), a sponge rubber cord is inserted and then grouted. The open joints can be filled with grout as usual.

The tiles can also be removed just as quickly. The joints are cut open and the tiles are lifted with a suction lifter. The grout residue is then removed and the tiles are ready to be used again.

With this system, the tiles no longer need to be glued to the substrate. This means that there are no more costs for tile adhesive, the working time for gluing is short and there is no need to wait for the adhesive or similar to dry. In addition, the substrate is not damaged or soiled. DryTiling is suitable for all types and formats of tiles.

The dry tiling system has already proven its worth in many rental properties where no permanent tiling was required or desired.

What to do in the event of water damage?

Start by removing the mud from your living space to minimize the damage. Use buckets in different sizes to remove the dirt efficiently. A selection of buckets with different filling volumes can make the work easier. Make sure that the buckets are equipped with recessed grips or extra carrying handles.

After the coarsest dirt has been removed, use a water scraper to push the mud and remaining dirty water together and remove it more easily. Larger water scrapers can save you valuable time and help to clean the affected areas effectively. It is also helpful to work in parallel with wet vacuum cleaners, which work like vacuum cleaners and can easily suck up standing dirty water.

You can use a moisture meter to measure the moisture in the walls as a result of the water damage. Alternatively, you can contact a specialist company in your region that specializes in drying out buildings. These companies can carry out moisture measurements and give you an assessment of the overall water damage if you do not wish to purchase your own measuring device.
