The Magic Sharper transforms any angle grinder with speed control into a precise sharpening machine for diamond blades. Using a special grinding cup, the top layer of the diamond blade is removed to expose the diamonds again. This way, you’ll quickly have a diamond cutting blade that cuts like new. The Magic Sharper works with 115mm and 125mm angle grinders and is suitable for diamond blades with a diameter ranging from 115mm to 350mm.
Using the Magic Sharper:
- Preparation:
- Make sure your angle grinder has speed control. Secure the Magic Sharper firmly onto a table or workbench. Ensure all parts are properly connected and securely assembled.
- Attach the Grinding Cup:
- Screw the special grinding cup onto the angle grinder. This grinding cup is responsible for sharpening the diamond cutting blades and allows for precise removal of the top layer.
- Secure the Angle Grinder:
- Attach the angle grinder to the Magic Sharper. Make sure the grinding cup is aligned in the correct position to perform the desired sharpening process.
- Sharpening the Diamond Blade:
- Set the second angle grinder with the blade to be sharpened to maximum speed (approximately 11,500 rpm). Carefully guide the diamond blade through the opening of the device directly to the grinding cup.
- Sharpening Process:
- The grinding cup comes into contact with the diamond cutting blade for about 10-15 seconds, removing the top layer and exposing the diamonds. This ensures that the cutting power of the diamond blade is restored.
- Wear Compensation:
- To compensate for wear on the grinding cup, screw the supplied spacer rings underneath the grinding stone. Use one spacer ring at 30% wear and two spacer rings at 60% wear to optimize the lifespan of the device and ensure even usage of the grinding cup.
