Attention: For sensitive surfaces we recommend the washers with the article number 12489
INCLUDED IN THE TILE LEVELING SYSTEM XXL SET:
300 pulling hoods black for tile thickness 3 - 12 mm
2500 threaded tabs base 3 mm (blue) for joint width 3 mm
Using the Tile Leveling System is child's play and requires no more time than laying without the Tile Leveling System. The few steps are implemented in a few simple steps:
Step: draw up the adhesive bed as usual, for large format tiles (approx. from format 60 x 60 cm) it is recommended to use the buttering-floating method. Then insert the first tile.
Step: Now insert 1 - 2 basic threaded tabs along the tile edge where the next tile is to be laid, so that one half of the tab base sits under the tile.
Step: Now place the next tile against the first tile so that the threaded tabs are fixed in the joint between the tiles. Now screw the tension hoods onto the threads of the base tabs. Do not tighten them completely at first; only when all the tension hoods in the immediate vicinity are also screwed on can all the tension hoods be tightened. In this way, the tiles are now all raised or lowered to the same level.
Step: Proceed in this way over the entire area to be laid. As long as the adhesive bed is still wet, the pulling hoods can be tightened at any time, but you should not walk on the tiles while the adhesive is still wet.
Allow the adhesive bed to cure completely. Then the reusable pull hoods can be twisted off and collected, while the threaded tabs remain with the lower part in the adhesive and can be broken off at the predetermined breaking point under the thread and disposed of. The base of the threaded tabs is grouted with and is no longer visible after breaking off.
TILE LEVELING SYSTEM XXL-SET - THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO:
The prerequisite for the success of a perfect tile floor with the Tile Leveling System is a completely level substrate. As already mentioned, the use of the buttering-floating method is advantageous here, as the risk of hollow layers is significantly reduced and the adhesion between tile and substrate is increased.
You can easily calculate your expected lug consumption with our lug consumption chart.
Before starting work, test the black traction hoods of the tile leveling system on an inconspicuous area of a tile, as they can cause abrasion on very sensitive surfaces. In this case, the Karl Dahm company assumes no liability.
