Attention: For sensitive surfaces we recommend the washers with the article number 12489
The caps can be used in exactly the same way as the conventional, black hoods. They consist of a transparent plastic that leaves no residue on the tile surface. Of course, the transparent hoods of the Levelmac levelling system can also be reused. They fit on all KARL DAHM levelling system threaded brackets (except art. 12458, 12459 threaded brackets extra long, these must be used with the grey KARL DAHM drawcovers!
1. Place the first tile in the freshly prepared adhesive bed. Before laying the tiles, make sure that the substrate is perfectly prepared and level. After the first tile is in the adhesive bed, take the threaded levelling system tabs and place them with the base plate under the first tile. Depending on the tile format, you can insert several basic threaded pockets along the tile edge. Then the next tile is inserted so that the threaded tabs are fixed in the joint between them. For joint widths of 1-3 mm we offer various basic thread tabs which can be used for any installation pattern. In the joint widths 2-4 mm we additionally offer T-pieces and cross-threaded tabs for e.g. half or cross bracing.
2. When the first row of tiles is laid, the transparent draw covers can be screwed onto the threaded tabs. If you do not tighten the caps completely at first, fine adjustments can be made at a later date. Do not tighten the hoods completely until you can no longer reach them without stepping on the laid tiles.
3. Finish the tile floor and allow the adhesive bed to cure completely. The transparent caps can then be turned off and reused. Your tiled floor is now perfectly laid.
Additional protection against scratches and dirt is provided by the washers made of robust PVC Art. 12489, which can be easily integrated into the installation process and are also reusable.
We recommend our Karl Dahm Levelmac® screwing and assembly aid No. 12519 for a back-friendly unscrewing of the caps.
