The use of a spiked roller is crucial for tile and screed layers. This indispensable tool is used for deaerating floor coatings and leveling compounds made of low to medium viscosity materials such as polyester and epoxy resins, flowing screeds and floor leveling compounds.

Effective deaeration ensures absolutely even distribution of the coating, a fundamental prerequisite for subsequent work steps. The spiked roller is applied immediately after the floor coating has been applied. This removes trapped air bubbles, which often occur during machine mixing, thus preventing unwanted cratering.
